my favorite act of self-expression is to be creative. I find peace in continuously adjusting my perspective and slowing down enough to find the beauty in the mundane. life is never perfect, but we get to determine how often we seek the light and how much light we allow in. tapping into your uniqueness, being in nature, and creating art (whatever that means to you) are a few ways to soak in that light. for me, that looks like being behind a camera lens or sharing my thoughts and experiences through poetry.
